We will attempt to give you a refund or exchange on every item purchased at any Party City store in Canada when you bring in your original receipt and issued Canadian Tire Money®. When you don’t have your receipt, we will offer a receipt look-up*.

WHAT IS PARTY CITY CANADA'S RETURN POLICY?

Unopened items, with a receipt, in original packaging and returned within 90 days of purchase will receive a refund to the original method of payment** or will receive an exchange. Items that are opened, damaged and/or not in resalable condition may not be eligible for a refund or exchange.

Valid photo ID may be required.

*Holiday Returns Policy exceptions:

  • Christmas and Halloween décor may be subject to return restrictions. Please contact your local store for details or refer to the returns policy printed on the bottom half of your store receipt.

EXCHANGES  

Exchanges are handled in the same manner as product returns. To exchange a product, simply bring it to any Party City store in Canada within 90 days after the date of purchase with your original receipt and issued Canadian Tire Money®. Items must be unopened and in their original packaging. Click on the tabs below for a list of exceptions and exclusions to our return policy. Use our Store Locator to find the store nearest you. 

* Party City stores in Canada can verify purchases made using credit, debit or with the Triangle Rewards™ program within 90 days after the date of purchase. 
** Less the value of any Canadian Tire Money® or other benefit given at the time of the original purchase.

There are some exceptions to our Returns Policy. These include:

  • Returns, exchanges or warranties on an item without a receipt may not be accepted.
  • A defective item is subject to the manufacturer's warranty and will be repaired or replaced.
  • Electronics (home audio & video, personal audio & video, cameras & accessories, communications) may only be returned within 30 days. All other rules apply.
  • Certain seasonal or holiday merchandise (excluding Halloween) may be returned up to 7 days prior to the holiday with an original receipt and issued Canadian Tire Money®. Items must be unopened and in their original packaging. If a return is made within the 7-day period a store credit will be provided*.
  • Halloween merchandise may be returned up to 14 days prior to the holiday with an original receipt and issued Canadian Tire Money®. Items must be unopened and in their original packaging. If a return is made within the 14-day period a store credit will be provided*.
  • The Reusable Balloon Bag cannot be returned unless found defective before use.
  • Helium tanks are exchange-only
  • Inflated balloons will not be returned if you missed your appointment time

*Store credit is valid for in-store transactions only.

Some products at Party City are non-refundable and non-exchangeable These include:

  • Clearance or final sale merchandise
  • Helium tanks – Helium tanks are exchange-only, cannot be refunded.
  • Masks
  • Wigs, undergarments, and hosiery
  • Balloons that have been inflated
  • Partial Party Kits – Party Kit components may not be returned individually
  • Reusable Value Bags
  • The Reusable Balloon Bag cannot be returned unless found defective before use.

If you need to make a claim on the manufacturer's warranty, please contact the manufacturer or your local Party City store in Canada. If a product is defective, the manufacturer's warranty applies.
